Doesn’t look massively exciting! Homemade potato and lentil dhal with samosas, papadoms and fried nuts after a long day of trudging in the snow, a cold shift at Lush and discovering that the demon bedroom mould has returned and claimed my pillows too now.
My first ever vegan Christmas. Vegan pie with all the veggies and stuffing. I even had vegan cheese sauce and ‘pigs in blankets’. One lucky vegan.
Making Blueberry jam: yesterday me and Alex went to Cowley road and got supplies as we were so excited to try our new recipe books from hipo hyfryd (all vegan, and the chocolate is amazing), then we spent the day cooking. I made blueberry jam and put it inside a donut mixture which is AMAZING! I wish I hadn’t been that super happy and relaxed and had taken a picture before we ate them all. Definitely a favourite and super easy to make! I was super quick so then helped Alex prepare and make the kind of complicated Indonesian rice and fried banana recipe for our main. I can’t wait until we have a beautiful kitchen so we can cook naked together all the time. It’s going to happen!
Secret Santa dinner last week with the girls, I can’t believe they constructed an entirely vegan roast dinner and dessert. I love love love them so much extra (if that’s even possible) for this.
